Getting Involved

There are many ways that parents, guardians, and adults can get involved with 2276 RCACC.

Volunteer for Events

Parent volunteers are often needed for events and assisting in sales for fundraising.  If you are available, please contact the corps and they will get you in touch with the right people.
Also we have a Canteen that is run for the cadets on Wedensday nights, when we are at the legion.  Parents are asked to take turns running shifts. It takes approximately 20 minutes per Cadet training night, from 19:55-20:15.

Joining the Support Committee (SC)

The SC is a group of parents, guardians, and adult volunteers who support the corps in a number of ways.  For more information on the SC, go to 'Parents & Guardians' > 'Parent Sponsor Committee.'

Becoming a Civilian Volunteer (CV) or Civilian Instructor (CI)

CVs and CIs directly supervise and instruct cadets.  The SC is responsible for recruiting and screening volunteers for the corps.  Becoming a volunteer may lead to a paid position as a CI.

Joining the Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC)

Many former cadets, parents, and volunteers choose to join the Canadian Armed Forces as a CIC officer.  CIC officers are employees of the Department of National Defence.  Joining the CIC can be a lengthy process, as all processing goes through the Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Centre.  For more information on the CIC, go to 'Links' > 'Cadet Instructor Cadre.'

Help Sponsor the Cadet Program

We are always open to events and activities that will promote community spirit within the cadets, as well as, funding so that we can continue to provide our youth with the adventures here in our own back yard.  If you or your company wish to host an event or sponsor and activity with our cadets, please contact our Support Committee.
